Over Christmas break of 2025, Gulf Shield Roofing partnered with Cambridge Christian School to complete a major roofing project while the campus was closed for the holidays. Roofing Systems & Materials
The project included replacement of the Middle School’s steep-slope roofing system using premium Tamko Titan XT architectural shingles, along with a new TPO flat roofing system over the Gym.
Because each building presented different roof slopes, transitions, and drainage requirements, our team designed each roofing system specifically around the needs of the structure and Florida’s demanding weather conditions.
Preparing Installation
Proper preparation was a major part of this project. Our crews inspected and prepared the roof decking before installation and paid particular attention to critical waterproofing areas throughout the campus.
New flashing was installed along parapet walls, firewalls, roof transitions, penetrations, and other vulnerable areas to properly integrate each roofing system and help prevent water intrusion.

Ventilation and Insulation
Ventilation and insulation are essential components of a well-functioning roofing system, working together to improve comfort, energy efficiency, and the overall lifespan of the roof. While insulation helps regulate indoor temperature, ventilation ensures proper airflow, preventing moisture buildup and heat accumulation.

Finishing Touches
Beyond the roofing systems themselves, Gulf Shield Roofing completed extensive improvements to the buildings’ water management and attic ventilation.
New gutter systems were installed to properly collect and redirect roof runoff away from the buildings. We also addressed attic airflow through proper intake and exhaust ventilation and installed solar-powered attic fans in designated areas to help remove trapped heat and improve overall attic ventilation.
From shingles and commercial flat roofing to custom flashing, gutters, drainage, and ventilation, this project was designed as a complete roofing system — not simply a roof replacement.
The result is a professionally engineered and installed system built to protect Cambridge Christian School’s students, staff, and facilities for years to come.
